The disruption forced an immediate nationwide pause on U.S. processing lines, risking product supply delays and potential revenue losses while investigators continue to assess whether sensitive corporate data was exposed or compromised. In order to investigate the attack, prevent future damage, and determine the scale, the corporation triggered its incident response plan, alerted law authorities, and hired outside cybersecurity specialists.
